Reflexology is a gentle and non-invasive complementary therapy which encourages holistic healing and balancing of the mind body and spirit. This is done through finger/thumb pressure and massage to reflex points found on the feet or hands. These reflex points mirror our internal organs and structures as well as our emotional wellbeing. The gentle stimulation of the reflexes encourages the flow of energy throughout the body enabling the body to relax, rebalance and self-heal.
Reflexology can be enjoyed by those seeking to support a particular area of their health, or to help maintain good health. Many people also include reflexology into their lifestyle as a way of unwinding and relaxing.
Although reflexology does not claim to cure any condition, many different conditions have been helped successfully, including;
· Stress and Anxiety
· Insomnia
· Depression
· PMT/PMS/ Menopausal symptoms
· Constipation
· Digestive disorders
· Headaches/Migraines
· Sinus problems
· Skin conditions
· Back/muscular pain
· Fluid retention
The initial treatment will include a consultation during which details relating to your health and lifestyle are taken to ensure suitability for the treatment. You are fully clothed throughout the treatment except for your feet. You will lie on a coach which can be heated if you wish and covered in a blanket to keep you warm. I will work sequentially on the reflex points on your feet. If you notice any tender spots, these may be a sign of an imbalance so just let me know, additionally I may also note areas of congestion which I will note throughout the treatment. At the end of the treatment we will discuss the findings. If you wish to continue with further treatments a treatment plan can be agreed.

Nutritional Therapy focuses on the overall nutrient value of a client’s diet to ensure optimal well being and sustained health. The therapy also encompasses lifestyle and environmental factors that might contribute to or detract from ultimate well being. During this process a client is educated as to the benefits of dietary and lifestyle intervention, so that they can feel empowered to take charge of their own health following the necessary amount of consultations.
Who might benefit from Nutritional Therapy?
The answer is simple – anybody! From those that want to simply improve their overall diet, to individuals with more chronic health conditions.
Increasing nutrition will never have a negative effect on a person and for this reason there is no person that will not gain some benefit from the advice of a Nutritional Therapist.
Some of the Common complaints that Nutritional Therapy can help with:
As a Nutritional Therapist, I will normally assign an initial appointment of approximately 60 minutes. During this time, I will ask questions based around the health questionnaires that you will have completed beforehand. This will give me a sound idea of your nutritional health and goals.
As part of the consultation, I will ask you about diet, lifestyle, sleep quality, bowel movements, general habits and behaviours. This information will help me understand where nutritional support can be provided and thus personalised to you.
During this consultation we will discuss and agree some initial dietary modifications and lifestyle changes personalised for you. I may also recommend specific supplements or laboratory tests. A short manageable action plan will then be agreed which will be emailed to you after the consultation along with supporting information guides, a personalised recipe pack and supplement plan ( where appropriate).
Follow up consultations tend to be shorter and can last 15 minutes to an hour depending on the complexity of your health goals and time commitments.
